  1. Bought this at the same time as the Fisherman's Friends disk. Already a fan of the Dubliners but hadn't bought a disk for a while so really enjoyed this. They always sing with such gusto, and there were many old favourites as well as some new-to-me songs. If you like folk but haven't tried the Dubliners /5().

  6. The town that I have loved so well. Where our school played ball by the gasyard wall. And we laughed through the smoke and smell. Going home in the rain running up the dark lane. Past the jail and down beside the fountain. Those were happy days in so many many ways. In the town I loved so well. In the early morn the shirt factory horn.
  7. I remember the day, when I earned my first pay As I played in the samll pick-up band Then I spent my youth, and to tell you the truth I was sad to leave it all behind me For I'd learned about life and I'd found me a wife In the town I loved so well But when I returned, how my eyes were burned To see how a town could be brought to its knees.
  8. In the town I loved so well. There was music there in the Derry air Like a language that we could all understand I remember the day when I earned my first pay When I played in a small pick-up band There I spent my youth and to tell you the truth I was sad to leave it all .
